• Mesh netting: keeps out animals and debris while allowing rainwater to clean the sand naturally. Ideal for spring and summer.
• Waterproof tarp: protects against animals, debris, and harsh weather. Perfect for autumn and winter.

Both covers come with mounting plugs, screws, and elastic cord. Prefer another color or mounting method? Opt for a custom-made cover in waterproof tarp or mesh netting.

Thermowood: durable, natural, and safe

Our wooden sandboxes use innovative heat-treated wood that significantly improves stability and resistance to insects and rot.

The result? A lifespan of up to 20 years without chemical treatments. Over time, the wood develops a beautiful light-grey patina.

Avoid cheaper chemically treated wooden sandboxes that slowly leach chemicals into the sand. The tool-free design enhances safety by eliminating sharp nails and screws.

*For hard surfaces, ground spikes are replaced by support stakes that match the sandbox’s height. Please indicate this during your order so the correct stakes can be included.

Tips

Play sand
A 107 x 107 x 25 cm wooden sandbox requires about 200 liters (= 300 kg) of play sand. Calculate the needed amount in kg by multiplying the sandbox volume in liters by 1.5. Refer to our sandbox guide for other dimensions.

Stability and reinforcement
For sandbox 160 x 160 x 37,5 cm, the beam connections may slightly bow outward under pressure from the sand. Prevent this by adding aluminum connectors to those connection points on the top layer.

These connectors are always included with 37.5 cm high sandboxes. For assembly on a hard surface of the square sandbox 160 x 160 x 25 cm, we recommend ordering sufficient (= 4) beam connectors.
