Adding plant supports
Easily attach a trellis or an espalier trellis to the ground spikes that connect the modular beams. This provides perfect support for plants such as berries, clematis, honeysuckle, nasturtiums, sweet peas, pumpkins, melons, cucumbers, gherkins, beans, peas, tomatoes, and more.

Protecting your harvest
Use a fruit and vegetable cage to protect vegetables, herbs, and berries from cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits, and other animals. Add a top net to the cage frame to keep birds out of your raised bed.

Substrate advice
An U-shaped wooden raised bed of 313 x 210 x 25 cm requires approximately 1.250 liters of substrate. For optimal results, use:

• 1/3 compost – for nutrients.
• 1/3 turf – for structure.
• 1/3 vermiculiet – for aeration and water retention.

Stability and reinforcement
For raised beds higher than 25 cm, the wooden beam joints may bulge slightly outward due to lateral pressure. Prevent this by placing aluminum connectors at the beam joints on the top layer.

These connectors are included with beds starting from 37.5 cm in height. For 12.5 or 25 cm high raised beds on hard surfaces, we recommend ordering sufficient beam connectors for optimal stability.
