Thermowood: durable, natural, and safe

Our wooden sandboxes use innovative heat-treated wood that significantly improves stability and resistance to insects and rot.

The result? A lifespan of up to 20 years without chemical treatments. Over time, the wood develops a beautiful light-grey patina.

Avoid cheaper chemically treated wooden sandboxes that slowly leach chemicals into the sand. The tool-free design enhances safety by eliminating sharp nails and screws.

*For hard surfaces, ground spikes are replaced by support stakes that match the sandbox’s height. Please indicate this during your order so the correct stakes can be included.

Tips

Play sand
A 210 x 107 x 25 cm wooden sandbox requires about 450 liters (675 kg) of play sand. Calculate the needed amount in kg by multiplying the sandbox volume in liters by 1.5. Refer to our sandbox guide for other dimensions.

Stability and reinforcement
For installation of this rectangular sandbox on a hard surface, we recommend ordering 2 beam connectors to prevent the side walls from slightly bowing outward due to the pressure of the play sand.
